ROME, Ga. — In the race to become Northwest Georgia’s next congressman, endorsements are rolling in for blue-collar businessman Brian Stover. On Monday, Frank Moran, the Mayor of Hiram, Georgia, and Ashley Henson, the Paulding County Sheriff, endorsed the pro-Trump conservative. 

In his endorsement of Stover, Mayor Moran notes that the Paulding County native’s work as county commissioner and as a blue-collar businessman are some of the reasons why Stover is the best person to represent the Fourteenth District in Washington. 

“Brian Stover is the most experienced, strong candidate for United States Congress to represent District 14, which includes Paulding County,” Mayor Moran said in his endorsement. “When Brian was on the Paulding County Commission, he always worked well with the local governments and had the best interests of the citizens in mind. As a former elected official and a very successful businessman, Brian is the hands-down choice to represent District 14 in Washington, D.C.” 

Meanwhile, Sheriff Henson highlights Stover’s work to support law enforcement and his work ethic as reasons the pro-Trump conservative will deliver real results for folks across Northwest Georgia. 

“I am proud to support and endorse my long-time friend Brian Stover in his bid for the United States Congress for several reasons,” Sheriff Henson said in a statement announcing his endorsement:” 1. Brian has always been a friend to public safety in Paulding County. 2. His support when he was our county commissioner was vital to our success. We need someone in Washington DC representing the 14th that knows what hard work looks like. 3. Brian is a hard-working American and will do whatever it takes to bring prosperity back to the 14th Congressional District. Brian will take his work ethic, grit, and determination to DC to get things done for our district.  It is my honor to support Brian Stover for Congress.”

In response to Mayor Moran and Sheriff Henson’s endorsement, Stover released the following statement.

The new ad, the first television ad for both the campaign and the special election, highlights Stover’s plan to utilize his experience as a blue-collar businessman who started a waste management business at 19 years old in his hometown in Paulding County, to support President Trump, defend ICE agents, and lower costs for families across Northwest Georgia.

ROME, Ga. — On Wednesday, conservative businessman and community leader Brian Stover announced his campaign for Congress in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, pledging to support President Trump and bring serious, results-focused leadership back to Washington.

A Georgia native, job creator, and longtime community advocate, Stover said he is entering the race because northwest Georgia deserves a representative who will work with President Trump and stay focused on delivering real results for families.

“I’m running for Congress because the hardworking families of northwest Georgia deserve a representative who is focused on them,” Stover said. “We need a leader who supports President Trump, shows up, listens, and gets the job done. Stover started his trash business out of the back of his pickup truck at age 19 and has spent his career building it through grit, determination, and years of hard work. Today, the company provides essential services and good-paying jobs for families across Paulding County and surrounding communities. As an employer, Stover says he has seen firsthand how rising costs make it harder for working families to get ahead.

“I’ve seen firsthand how rising costs for health insurance, housing, fuel, and groceries are affecting working families,” Stover said. “That’s what pushed me to step forward. Democrats gave us an affordability crisis, and President Trump is focused on lowering costs, eliminating waste, securing the border, and putting American workers first.
